Hi...

Me again. I have had seventeen people view my earlier post, but no one knows how to help me put together a small studio for recording?

Any Gospel music writers out there? what do you use?

Thanks Again

Your last post had no content in it. what are you looking for? You cuold be much more specific. 3 of the studios I record in use Macs. One has MOTU gear and uses Digital Performer, one has 2 Digi 001's using Pro Tools and 1 is a Pro Tools Mix24 system. The big advantage to using macs for recording is Pro Tools. If you aren't so hot on Pro Tools, there are lots of options in the PC world. Most people here like the options and use PC's. You can use other things other than Pro Tools on a mac, like Digital Performer and Logic, but most people move to a mac to use PT. If you have any specific questions, ask here.

I'm sorry.... just curious.
Why can't Pro tools be used on a PC?

Thanks

Well, it can and people do. There are just many more running PT on the Mac because it is traditionally the platform of choice for PT. If you go to the DUC you'll see ther are many more posts in the Mac TDM section than in the Windows TDM section. If you go to the PTLE section however the posts are pretty even for both platforms.
