Console into the 3 DA-88's, DA-88's into the MOTU 2408, firewire out of the MOTU 2408 into my PC. How does that sound? What editing, mastering program would you suggest? Would you suggest the MOTU or something else?

You can leave the (16-bit) 88's out of the loop, no?

How do I get into the MOTU Then?

If I leave the DA-88's out - how do I get into all 24 channels of the MOTU interface? For that matter, how do I get into the MOTU with the DA-88's? Is there a cable for that, I am pretty sure there is. Isn't there 3 TASCAM inputs on the back of the MOTU?

Let me know, I am still learning!

Thanks,

Braxton

I'd sell the three 88's and the 2408 and get a 24 I/O. You'd get FAR better results....

What Then...

What 24 I/O would you suggest? Alesis, mackie, tascam?

MOTU 24 I/O - If you need 24 Simultaneous tracks in or out......

Model Number...

What model of MOTU interface do you suggest?

Whoops

I didn't realize that 24 I/O was the model number. Sorry to upset you.

Sounds Good - Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.

You could probably sell your 3 88's and your 2408, and buy a used 24 I/O and break even. You would then go from 16bit/48khz to 24 bit/96khz.

None to come by...

I have been scouring Ebay and not finding any MOTU 24 I/O's. Any suggestions on where to look?
