does this mix "work"?

Hi all,

I have a piece from my demo reel at the following link. I'm fairly new at home recording, and it's one of my earlier attempts at mixing in MIDI and then recording the final output to stereo audio and tweaking that. Does this mix "work," or feel like it needs more spit and polish?

Might wanna turn down that big bass hit just a tad, and up the midi-synth stuff in the background. Otherwise it's pretty nice.
