Metal makes laws....err...no.

Metal is the mayor...umm...no...that's not quite it.

Metal is an efficient unit of measure...no...that's not what I...had in mind...

METAL RULES DOOD!

Does anyone know how to get Cheesy Poof stains off my guitar?

Sure I do. Just pick up an old pair of underwear from the floor, pour a little beer on them [being very careful not to spill a drop] and rub in small circles until the stain is gone. If a brown somewhat smelly stain appears on the guitar during the rubbing then you may want to try a different pair of underwear. Never use edible underwear as this will create a whole different problem.

I think I'll invent baroque/metal
Then you can dress up in rodent outfits and call the band Gopher Baroque. That would be so cool!

I'm old school. To me, metal is Ozzy, AC/DC, Judas Priest, classic Van Halen.

I can't comment on todays metal because I have no clue what it is anymore.

It's possible we ought to refer to him with a bit of continental flair,

Garconaveclemerdechapeau perhaps?

That name was already used a few years back by a band that played in my area [about 85 miles south east of you].

But did they have the costumes?

Dude!
Never eat cheetos and watch porn!
It will ALWAYS result in a day-glo orange ween.

Being 18 myself, why does Myhatbroke feel like he can stereotype our generation by calling us all closed-minded? Maybe if he took the cock out of his mouth we could understand him a bit better. :)

Does anyone have that Metal (uncensored) audio only TV channel? Theres some really good new bands on there! My tv is now my alarm clock so I wake up to delicious metal every day now!!! :D

This morning woke up to Sick of it all. mmmmmmm

If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it.

Oh, and Yngwie says you're about 25 years late.

If Sirnothingness is old school I must be preschool,
I couldn't get into Judas Priest, Van Halen, GNR & that NWOBHM, particularly the new era of noodling with tapping & hammers etc.
My metal development stalled around '78 until Helmet & Tool & maybe Paw. The time gap was filled by hard rock & rock with RADIO BIRDMAN & my rediscovery of all things a) Iggy & b) psychedelic.

Is GNR considered metal? I always saw them as rock n roll. Appetite for Destruction anyway. Come on man, that was a classic. I did'nt really dig anything after Lies. I can agree on the other stuff.

Peel it and eat it. :D Or, let the dog eat it.

Yeah,
I agree re GNR. They were just a rock band. I think it was afreudian slip because I wasn't into them either - theri were too many other bands to listen to. Slash's guitar was good but I could NOT get passed Axl's mincing.

yea, he did have a fked up voice. it seemed to work but yea, it was kind of gimmicky. kind of like the kings of leon vocals.

Thanks for the Negativity

Hey,
Sirnothingness,
Can't you tell when someone is, at least partially, agreeing with you?
Didn't you twig that I admitted to having stalled development? What's up your nose, that I don't like 80's metal? That I don't like a certain school of lead playing?
Sabbath AREthe best, AC/DC were considered pop music downunder. Good pop rock but pop nonetheless - they were on ALL the pop shows & when they started out they wore satin & platforms, their early film clips were a riot of dress ups but I liked 'em.
So, let's recoup - YOU can have & express an opinion but I, even when agreeing with you, must keep my opinion to myself.
Where's your sense of oligarchical collectivism cobber?
Perhaps you're closer to the hat than you think.
To paraphrase Lou Reed:
"Give me an issue & I'll give you a tissue & ..." Hopefully you know the rest.

Isn't it ironic that I gave you positive rep points for your "old school" comment?

Oh, I shan't retaliate & send you negative rep points as, on the forum at least, you've not given poor advice, abused someone, mislead anyone or desported yourself in a manner likely to bring disrepute to the forum AND because you had enough gumption to sign your negative reference.

Ok, stupid question, but I'm pretty tanked...what is "Metal"? I mean, I consider Pantera, Down, Godsmack, Zombie, etc...Hard Rock myself. Priest, Sabbath, Zep, AC/DC, etc...Rock. Am I fucked, or just fucked up? I mean, heavy metal is a 300win.mag.
