does mackie make good pre-amps?

are mackie pre-amps good? i was looking at a board by mackie and i've heard good things about them so i was wanting to know if mackie makes goo pre-amps?

Mackie pre's are ok for the $$$.

Depending on what board you are talking about you might be able to do better than a Mackie if you buy a used Soundcraft or such. I don't care for the summing, eq, line ins, direct outs, etc on the Mackies.
