My Marshall Valvestate 8080 sems to be crapping out on me after all these years 
It wasn't a big deal at first, there used to be a quite significant drop in volume every now and again. All it took was a tap on the top and it would come back. Anyway, now its completely the other way round. The volume is now permanently dropped, like its at half power or something (?). And I have to give it a bloody great whack to get it to come back. That would be liveable as I could just turn the amp up, but every now and again it comes back for a bit. No use for me as this is my main recording amp...
Anyone know what would cause this. I'll probly take it to a shop but might aswell see if I can fix it myself first.
