That's cool. Heaven is where all the Anti-Loudness Bozos are going. Send me to hell, please.![]()
In Audio Heaven there is no beer!
I bet he bashes the hi hat.
This is gona end up being a new thread : HR's pet hates.
When sound guys go to hell they have to mic satans un-tuned drum set. And satan is one of those drummers who likes to do drum solos while the sound guy is setting up mics.
Satan also refuses to use moon-gel-duct or duct tape on his shitty drums....."use a gate ass-hole" is his response when you ask.
Im not sure why I typed this?
P.S. Satan is also an expert in breaking the end off every 57 you have on his shitty drumset.
You hear a pre amp on every single microphone you've ever listened to--no exceptions. As bouldersoundguy says, every mic input into a mixer contains a pre-amp--and, when you get up the the quality of mixer used on big tours, they're darn good pre amps too.
That said, it's certainly not unheard of for some performers to have a specific favourite mic pre amp they take with with so the get the same sound whatever mixer is being used at their gig.
I don't need an external preamp live to sound good... I need someone with their hands on the Melodyne levers...![]()
