Lol. You fell in the bullshit all over this thread. You're soaking it! :laughings: :laughings: :laughings:

I made one post about strats and you took it upon yourself to get offended, chime in, and get your shit pushed in. Congrats! :D

I see in this post and others you like to call people gay and faggot. I think thou dost protest too much. This and other threads are a testament to your attitude. You are sensitive, dramatic, bored and probably struggle with your sexual identity.

You got me laughing, but i don't think that was your intention.

starts are cool and anyone who disagrees can eat shit.
Anyone who does't like strats is an unamerican commie terrorist who worships Osama Bin Laden.

.

Hey, leave us Commies alone :(

Thanks Dr Phil. Say hi to Oprah for me. I can play the fuck out of many instruments and record them awesomely too. Don't forget that.

You brought this on yourself. Don't pick fights you can't win. :laughings:

Gee, this thread turned out to be a bundle of joy.

Find the ignore button and use it. It increased my enjoyment of these forums tenfold.

umm, strats and teles are not the same thing. I have and use both, and they are way different.

Play one, if you like it buy it...simple.

I've tried and tried to like Teles, but I just don't. I hate em more than Strats. But, neither Strats nor Teles are as lame as Ibanez/Jackson/Charvel strat body metal fag shred machines.

Got a HSS Mexican Strat, it's a great all-rounder, but still distinctive.

You shouldn't kick a man when he's down.

You need a Strat, you need a Tele, you need a Les Paul, you need all the guitars you can get your hands on,it's as simple as that.

After my recent experience with MIM Fenders I'd be real hesitant about getting another. My P bass plays and sounds pretty good, but the fit and finish are a joke. Since I've heard the biggest problem with the Mexican Fenders is bad necks I won't weep too much, but I'd certainly think twice before getting another. Put my P bass side by side with my Warwick Rockbass Corvette (similar price range at the time) and the difference in quality is pretty amazing.

I don't think ,much of them - I have an Ibanez RG whcih is the closest thing to a strat in my collection.

But I just try to play as many guitars as possible when I go to a music store and then I usually find one I like.

I am liking my Epiphone Les Pauls Standard ATM

seems like most of the strats i see are single pickup - i don't like the single pickup

I'm a fan of Epi's too, have an LP Classic, pretty much the same guit as yours with a fancy top, and an EJ 200. Both ae superb guitars, as nice as their Gibby counterparts, and I have played both.

I've had a Mexistrat for damn near 20 years now. It's great....as far as Strats go. I like it way better than any USA Strat I've ever touched, and I've played a bunch. I don't know what it is, but it's not as bright and shrieky as other Strats. The only repair I've ever had to do is replace the 5-way switch. One of the tone pots is scratchy too, but I never touch those dumb things anyway. I can dive bomb the trem all day long if I want and it stays in damn near perfect tune. It can sit untouched for months and stay in tune. All I did was a homemade set-up on it and it plays and sounds great. As much as I hate Strats, I sure do like mine.

Strats are nice when playing live, they're cut to fit your body, are usually light and well balanced and are set-up nice for playing & singing. What most people call Strats these days sure arent like the originals.

The only way a Strat is anything like a Tele is if its the non-tremolo version, (which I cant stand)

Guess what they made 20 years ago was a helluva lot better than what they're making now, my P bass was bought brand new last year, it's a POS.

I will add I got it off Musician's Friend, I wouldn't have bought it if it was in a store, but on the box it stated that the bass was inspected and met all of Fender's quality levels. Guess that means it's good enough, though far from perfect.

Well like all guitars, there's good ones and bad ones in the same line. I lucked out and got a good one.

I haven't found a new strat that plays and sounds as good as my '66. It's a shame that with all the modern technology and advancements in guitar making...the old stuff from the 60's is better.
Must be the wood.

That could very well be part of it. A lot of people prefer old drum shells because the wood has aged. I think it's all a load of shit based on gear snobbery, but whatever floats your boat.
