I have a dps12, and is records to jazz disks...and recently one disk got messed up.... I am getting it fixed, and should be able to save my music. When I do get it fixed i need to make masters of all the songs. I was using a pioneer cd recorder (not pro audio) but sold it for 200$ to get my dps12 fixed. I want to buy a masterlink and use that for all masters. I know someone who has one and loves it. I've seen em for about 1,000$ on ebay. What I've been told I should do, that is a better option, is to buy a dedicated cdrw drive for my dps12. They say that not only can I master, but also back up my data. I also have a computer with a cdrw drive on it, and don't know if that could be routed via scsi. Well i need help and advice. thanks.

The Masterlink is a brilliant option for both mastering and archiving. Its jitter remains pretty low, definately a lot lower than the vast majority of card / computer solutions, apart from expensive ones.
