You can't lose, Johnny. I expect you'll find the mic rocks. If not, you won't have much trouble selling it for most of what you paiid for it. Selling good gear is always easier than selling bad gear. I've got a lowly C414B-ULS, and they'll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers!-Richie
Thanks Richie. I had a good laugh over that one! I'm sure I'll be quite happy with it.

Since this is an AKG thread, and I don't mean to hijack, but I noticed that Musician's Friend is hocking a Fostex MR-8 bundled with Edirol monitors and D 9000 mics. Are the D 9000's any good? With both the monitors, some base line XLR cables, Nady QH360 headphones and the AKG's the whole package is only $100.00 more than buying the MR-8 by itself. This alone probably answers my question, but MF tends to put out some pretty sweet deals trying to stay above the competition.
Any Thoughts?

Frankly, I doubt it, and I'm a fan of AKG dynamics. The dead giveaway is that D9000, I think, is a store designation. AKG USA lists specs on every mic it's ever made, and D9000 is not an AKG designation. Sounds like a cheapie redesignated. for the store. Bundles like that usually contain at least one dog the store can't sell. Trust me- spook around on ebay for a while until you find a used D320 or D330 series mic ( A through C- higher letters mean more doodads, but it's the same mic. You can usually scarf these for about $50, and they're in the same league as MD421, but less well known.- Good luck- Richie

Thanks! I figured as much. Like I said, the price was a dead give away. I wasn't going to buy it, because I already own an MR-8. But I just couldn't help but wonder.
Thanks again, Richie.
