Do you have the mixer companion software installed? What firmware version is your mixer? Did you buy new or used (doesn't really matter but I got a used one and the firmware was stock).

I got it new and the mixer companion software is installed but it does not see the dm 3200 and thats because driver was not install for the 3200. I talk to Tascam and they said the mixer did not need a driver but it seem as if it do unless its W7 issue.

thanks

Does it matter what firmware your running in order for W7 to see usb driver. Everything else works fine in pro tools 10 just don't have any midi hui control..

Thanks

Could someone post what driver the Tascam use in W7 64bit?

Is your mixer companion software the latest? It's toward the bottom of this page.
I am using the 4800 on W7 64 without any problems.

Yes it's the latest do I need to reinstall it also am running W7 home edition do that have anything to do with it?

thanks for help

Just an FYI.The USB port does NOT send/receive MIDI.The TMCompanion Software Guide that you got with your mixer details what TMC does and does not do.Per the manual,TMC is for management, storage, and archiving projects, metering, TC display, and on-screen transport control-that's all.It is "Plug and Play" USB.It does not need drivers. There could be a problem with the Win 7 installation, and of course I'm assuming it is a legal copy of Win 7.

Uhmmmm...that's not exactly correct. I send all of my MIDI data back and forth through USB. All of the transport, control surface, plugin tweaks and meter bridge information is sent via MIDI through the USB cable.
Maybe you didn't mean the USB since you were referencing the TMC.

I have solve my problem:o. I had to restore my computer back to factory. After doing so i plug in my USB cable and driver was installed for dm3200. Thanks for all the help.
