I want to try an experiment some time soon. I want to do a live club recording in 5 channel sound. What I was thinking was that I would have 3 cardioids facing the stage, and then mount 2 omnis or PZMs along the side walls of the club. This would mirror the typical DTS 5.1 home theatre setup.
I would then use a DTS CD encoder like the Minnetonka one and burn the show onto a DTS CD.
Have any of you ever done this?
