Digitech Studio 400

Can anyone tell me if the old digitech studio 400 is a good unit? Are the reverbs good quality for live playing and how much would this unit be worth to buy second hand. I have a chance of getting one for $250.

This is probably a bit high for a 'friend price', but about average used dealer price. The stereo reverb programs will be fine for a second reverb track. I've never used this unit but I bought a Digitech studio 5000 for $375, which turned out to be a great deal.

Holy crap, I just looked the thing up. If this is the same one it has XLR I/O, AES/EBU interface, and looks like a hell of a deal for $250!!

But it sounds like crap. i've got one in my rack for years without actually using it. I even prefer the old shitty SPX990. But fact is you don't get a buck for it trying to sell, so it's better for rackfilling or an occasional chorus.

Buy something new like the cheap lexicons or TC's.

I knew there was a catch. Looked too good to be true.

True a lexicon MPX 250 is pretty cheap.
