I've had my RP-10 for several years and I noticed that the last time I switched it to stereo mode and used the headphone jack that I only got sound through one speaker. The strange thing is that if I stand the RP-10 up (lean it against the wall or something) with the jacks pointing upward I get sound out of both speakers in stereo. Anyone have any idea what is going on here, do I have a loose connection somewhere internally or something?

It does sound like you have a loose connection in your equipment. A similar problem like that happened to me on 1 of my amps and upon removing the cover i noticed that the wire connecting to the left channel
outputs were gnarled off,(prob. a mouse).
Fortunately i had the schematics and traced the left channel and soldered a new connection to the left audio posts. My advice is to take it in for repair as this is more
ideal.

Does it only happen when you use your headphone jack?

Yes, only when it's laying flat on the floor. If I tilt it up (past a certain degree) it will work fine. The left and right/mono jacks are fine.

More than likely you just need the headphone jack replaced. It's probably a closed frame type where it's normaled thru when there's not a plug in it. If it's out of warrenty crack it open and look around.
