Digidesign M.box 2?

The otherday somebody brought the M-box 2(digidesign) to my attention,
I read a few articles about it, and it seems to be a pretty good option to be able to record live musicians directly on to your computer, as in a sort of small (home)studio setting.
Is there any body out there who has already worked with the M box?
I serriously consider buying it, so i'd like to hear your opinion on it..

I have an mbox 2. I use it pretty much exclusively for being able to run Pro Tools. I would think twice about buying one if you're not that fussed about running Pro Tools - there are a lot of hang-ups going the Digidesign route, which (I think) would be a pain in the ass if you're not overly interested in PT.


I am, so I own one.


As for live recording techniques - that's a whole other thread's worth of questions.
