Any links for reviews on this? Any opinions? Did a search, not much info. Im considering gettng one soon.
Thanks.

It is basically the same 002 without faders, they have pretty good analog to digital converters. I think it is worth the money, $1000 less than the 002.

I'm using one right now. if you're doing your mixing in the box it's perfect. no bells and whistles or anything but it's got everything you need if you only need 4 preamps.

Its a killer inteface. 18 I/O total, 4 really good pres. Comes with Pro Tools and a bunch of extras AND will work with most other DAWs through ASIO drivers.

I say its a good deal. Had I to do it over again, I might not have bought the 002, as much as I love the control surface when I'm working in Pro Tools.

I've made several recordings that were compared to a clients previous projects on a Pro Tools MIX system. Mine sounded better. The pres and convertors in the 002 have been called as good as MIX and MIX+ systems or better.

Take care,
Chris

Hey, cool, is there anything about the 002 rack that you "wished it had but doesnt"? What other periferals would you suggest for it?

I heard the ASIO latency was really high compared to other cards. Any comments on this Chris?

Hmm... I usually don't record with ASIO drivers or the programs I need them with, but the buffer settings are the same so the latency should be about the same, too.

I typically get 12-22ms latency. I can't remember exactly.

Come to think of it, I just haven't noticed any difference whether I use it with Cubase or with Pro Tools. Mix latency is about the same with similar settings. I can't say for sure, though.

I'll report back when I get a chance to test it out.

Take care,
Chris
