Hi there..
Every time I record a song on my Boss BR-600 - usually using keyboard, guitar & vocals.. it sounds great through the 8track then awful when I come to export the bounced & mastered track to my PC.

I normally tweak to mix in Sony Audio Engine... can anyone help me achieve good sound quality?

All help much welcome.

Thanks x

First task/question I'd think is the export should sound exactally like the live mix playback, and if not why?
-is the moitoing chain that you're comparing with the same in both cases, other variables for example?

Yes, how are you mixing - what are you using for for monitors? Same ones with the computer as with the Boss? Too many variables for us to guess. Are you exporting in WAV or AICC format?

I record piano on track 1/2, Main vocal on 3/4, Harmonies on 5/6... I bounce all that to 7/8.. Then master it onto 7/8V2.. then I export this as a WAV file to my PC. Once on my PC, I open this WAV file in Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio, try and edit a little then save as MP3.

Where am I going wrong here? The sound quality always sounds top notch on the BR600.. then awful on the PC.

Sorry, missed your reply last week.
Before doing any editing with Sound Forge, how does it sound when playing on the PC? Are you using the same speakers/monitors? Saving to MP3 may be your problem - MP3 format loses a lot of audio info.
