I hear a few problems that could be the gear you're using or the way you're using it. Sounds like a hum to me, who knows though could be on my end.

Beats me, I set it up the same way, same channels, same mics, and cannot duplicate it. it sounds like a ground hum to me. now its gonna drive me nuts.

I think the room it was recorded in isn't working well for the song. If you can retrack, maybe get your dad closer to the mic to get less of the room. Unless that's a reverb or short doubler I'm hearing.

Thanks for listening, you are correct, there is a little verb and a short doubler on it. I did have a issue with him turning his head to read the lyrics, but he was a little nervous, he is 72 and this is the 1st time I think he has ever used a mic. I know the quality is no where near good enough and that's all on me but it was awesome to be able to do it with him. Thanks so much.

The performance is great. The vocal sounds a little artificial because of the doubler. Love the atmosphere of the song. It sounds.. well.. real! So it deserves real sounding vocals. Guitar sounds decent.
