i live in atlanta... i want to know if anyone is interested in building me a desk for my studio.... it doesn't have to be stained or even put together, i'll do all that, but i'd like someone to get a nice design and do all the cuts...

Ausrock built a very nice table for ($140us) i'll be willing to pay more... i want my desk to be just like the synergy 800 desk.

here are 2 pics of the desk Ausrock build for under $200...

very nice website, longsoughtfor! I like the idea. Sort of a complement to John Sayers site, but for hardware instead of studio construction.

that table it to small for what i need. i need and want a large table. after my measurements i need a desk at least 8ft long and 4ft deep...no longer than 9ftlong and 5ft deep....
do you know where i can at least get some specs for a large table so i can get the cuts done?
i need one a little targer than this one.

(this is Ausrock's desk, he did that for $140, i'm gonna put at least $300 into mine... but i'm not gonna pay 1400 for the synergy 800

I guess, I would suggest taking the picture you like and measurments of what you need to a local carpenter or furniature maker and seeing what you can have made.

Cdierks Plan should be scaleable. Any finish carpenter worthwhile should be able to help you.

Cheers Fredric! Let me know if you have any other photos (schematics etc...) to include.

Actually, I will in a little bit. I just finished the electrical (part of which is in the picture you have on your site) and I'll snap pictures of everything once I finish the collapsable vocal booth, which is almost done.

FWIW... I just checked this page:

http://www.omnirax.com/content/Workstations/mixing/synergy.htm

It has all the dimensions you are looking for.

you think i can print those specs out and the ppl at home depot could do the cuts? what type of wood should i use. i build a lot of subwoofer boxes and i usually use 3/4" mdf unless the system hits over 155db then i use 1" mdf. i might try 1" i might try mdf for the desk
