Demo song - need feedback

Wow. Thanks guys. Good food for thought. Copying the snare track sounds like a good idea to try. We just want to put out the best demo we can muster. I'll keep fiddling with it. Thanks everyone. :)
 
Top-notch song dude. Very good production.

Reminds of Metallica very much. The guitar playing is very clean an accurate. Can I ask the guitar brand and other gear to record and especially gates.

Um, the guitarist used 2 different guitars for these tracks - an ESP something-or-other with EMG's and a strat with a little '59 HB in the bridge position. He has some kind of simple rack processor, but I don't know what effects he specifically uses. Obviously some delay and reverb and slight chorus. He plays through a 120W Roland Jazz-Chorus on the clean channel and gets all his grit from the processor. Oh, and he loves his cry-baby pedal. Thats about all there is to it.

I think the music itself is great, remind a lot of those good old late 70's punk rock

By the way Greg, were you the one that posted some Ramones cover here a few weeks ago? :confused:
I'm asking this cause this sounds like a song of a Ramones fan would do ( always a great thing, of course :) )

Thanks man. Yeah, that was me. I'm a total Ramones nutcase and have been since 85. Everything I do musically is pretty heavily influenced by the Ramones and this band is no different. When people ask us 'so what do yall sound like', we always say that if Judas Priest and Motley Crue had a baby that was raised by the Ramones, that would be us. ;)

I just want to say that it's no big deal if some of you don't like our stuff. Not everyone likes everything. I appreciate all feedback. Leaving unsigned negative rep isn't necessary. If you're just trying to be polite, then I understand and appreciate that, but it's not necessary. I know the songs aren't musical masterpieces. They're not supposed to be. They're rock songs with no message whatsoever. If you're looking for a profound message in your music, then you need to look elsewhere. We just wanna bang on some instruments. :p

This is a great sounding demo...did you use any samples on the drums?...I think they sound especially good...the vocals sound good...IMO the guitars need a little more work...but they sound pretty good...

Thanks man. I didn't use any drum samples whatsoever. Those are real drums really played by me. Theyre just an old-ass Rogers kit with decent heads and good tuning. If you could elaborate on the guitars, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to make everything as good as possible.
 
The guitars sounded a little muddy maybe cut some lows on them? I only listened on my work computer speakers...so I could be dead wrong! Nice job though!

Thanks. It doesn't sound good on my computer speakers either. If you get a chance to listen on better stuff, I'd like to hear your opinion.
 
I hear crackling....probably from the loud drums. This song is OK. Reeks of gay butt sex....

Really good. Tight playing of the long 16th note figures in the drums and gtr. Mix is well balanced.
