Demagnetizer Question

I am still putting my gear together and I realize I no longer own a head demagnetizer.

I have seen the ones that look like a cassette tape. I have never used one.

Do these work? How do they compare to the "magic wand"?

I would aviod the demag cassettes that you pop in, especially on something like the 246 because you should have the deck powered off.

TEAC E-3 were recently discontinued, but you can find them on eBay -- sometimes new.

The E-3 is what I use on everything from my 246 to my TSR-8.

you also could score some 'dentist tools' with it and nice executive style case... so you can carry it around with pride and walk through your neighbourhood like a pro
