Delta 8 and 10 LB rigid fiberglass... overkill?

I was browsing sites looking at the rigid fiberglass panels, and Delta has a marine board that goes up to 10lb rating. Is this overkill? I want to use the more dense stuff for a couple of all fiberglass bass traps, just wondering if its worth the extra....
havent found a local supplier yet, but I will.

Too dense and the stuff starts bouncing 'way too much back into the room - generally between 3 and 6 PCF for traps, and 2.5-3 PCF inside walls is best. Space behind the absorbent helps more than really high density... Steve
