I installed & started playing with my new Delta Omni Studio this past weekend. After a couple hours of confusion, I was able to get some things recorded, and everything is working fine at this point.

I do have one question though. The N-track recording VU meters do not show 'any' activity when recording. The only place I do see signal strength/activity is in the Delta 66 Control Panel software. Is this just the way this works, or is there any way to use the recording VU meters in N-track?

Maybe some setting(s) I just haven't discovered yet?

Any feedback appreciated - Thanks

Do you have the 'monitor' button clicked that's right below the meters?

I'll check that when I get home this evening. That may be it.

I was clicking & unclicking so many things getting it all to work, that I may not have had the monitor button pressed at the actual time of recording.

thanks Chris

Yeah, when you set up the 'settings' it unhighlights the monitor button, so you always have to reclick it. Let's hope that's all that's wrong.

This is unrelated to RDUB's issue, but it does pertain to Delta 66/Omni Studio. I'll record say a guitar part (guitar plugged directly into Mic1 in) in Mono. Then, when I attempt to record a second track (another guitar or vocal going directly into Mic2 in), I don't see any response from the recording VU meters. I have to go into the settings and click 'stereo to 2-tracks' or something close to that. I would like to simply record a second MONO track. I suspect it may be something in my settings?

Any advice appreciated,

Mike

Go to 'setting' on the recording VU meter and make sure you have track 1 set to 'record to new track' and track 2 set to 'do not record on this track.' Then you can record one thing at a time with one track at a time with the first mic pre.
