I've been using a delta1010lt to record with for almost a year now and never had any problems until recently. I turned my computer on the other day and the new device manager icon came up saying that I needed to install the driver software for the 1010lt. This was after 9 months of it already being installed so I was a little confused. Anyway, I reinstalled the driver software that came on the installation disk, and after I was done it prompted me to restart my computer. After I restarted my computer, I was back at square 1. The new hardware wizard came up and said I need to install driver software for the card. So now I am really stumped. The card is being recognized by the computer, but I can't use it anymore because the computer isn't recognizing the driver?! I'm not the most technological savvy person and I hope this is a simple fix. Has this happened to anyone before and can anyone help me?

I use a Delta1010LT with a Mac. I have had maybe 5-6 times that I needed to reinstall the driver but I didn't have the problem you're having.

One thought - when you reinstalled the driver, did you go to M-Audio's site, download the driver and install that (that's what I'd do) or just install the same driver you had on disk or somewhere else? If it was the latter it could be you're just reinstalling the same bad driver.

If you are registered with M-Audio, you could phone them.

Run Disk Utility if you're on a Mac to see if there's some other problem.

I have a PC, but I'll try getting the latest driver from M audio. Thanks for the help.

Just a hunch - you could have some corrosion going on. Pull the card out and physically reinstall it. If the slot next to the card is free, try reinstalling it there and see if the problem goes away.
