Hi, im trying to sort out recording drums.......ive got all the mics set up running through pre-amps on my UB2442FX-Pro mixer on seperate channels. These are then each routed directly out into the 8 inputs on my Delta 1010. However I have come across a few problems with the 1010 which i was wondering if anyone could help with.

1. Within Cubase I cant seem to seperate the channels for recording 8 tracks individually. It only allows me the ASIO left/right option?

2. I cant seem to work out the best way to monitor the mix, it seems as if i can 't hear the input and output at the same time?

Im pritty sure the problems lie between the Delta 1010 and Cubase because I can monitor the mix through my mixer fine. Any help would be appriciated, other set-ups would be interesting too. Cheers, Pete.

Which version of Cubase are you running? It sounds like you need to turn on the rest of the channels in the inputs section of Cubase.

There should be a pdf manual, and it gives excellent step by step instructions. You need to assign inputs in device setup (I think, I don't have the software in front of me)

Good luck

go to Devices, then click on the Inputs tab. Like lomky said it's all in the manual 2-17.

odd on the left, even on the right, as in.....

Kick on channel 1, you'd route the input to Delta 1010 1/2 Left

Snare on channel 4, you'd route the input to Delta 1010 3/4 right

I see what you all mean but my device setup shows all the inputs correct and visable, im not sure how to select each input for each track. I only have the option of 'Delta sterio in left or right' it seems?

OK- so check your preferences under the file menu and see if you're set up for more than two tracks. -Rez

Are you sure your 1010 is set up right? Open up the preferences and see what it's saying...Other than that check the manuals...

I cant see any option to change the amount of inputs?
You need to add an input bus, assign the bus to the inputs.
