Delta 1010 Sounds better than: Everything?

Is it because they are installing the wrong drivers for the 1010? Or maybe they use the same computer to play games on and there's a conflict with IRQ's. M-audio has been very good with dealing problems that might arise with different systems. On the other hand, Aardvark users seem to have a much more differcult time getting their cards to work in many of their systems.

delta drivers in win2k for me are perfect. Therefore in winXP they should be fine as they are the same drivers. I couldn't say anything about Me since i don't use it, but last time i used 98 with my card it was fine as well. But 98 sucks horribly for audio anyway, waaay too many crashes on the OS side. For win2k service pack 2 is ESSENTIAL, or else you will NOT be able to use your card. Windows did a good job on the stability side of win2k and winXP... Their marketing practices, thats another story.

Installing Service pack 2 for Win2k came up at the Cakewalk user group. It was highly stressed, so I did it. So far, so good. I didn't dare to load my Delta 1010 until I did.

Lavoz, no probs yet with multiple soundcards. Will be recording tonight (Thurs). Gonna give the Delta a workout.:D

Good for you Chuck...I still think you should $$$% that SB...I'm sorry, it's getting a little too warm here in the desert.

How did I know that was coming?....

Just think of the SB as a midi port...and put the AC on.:D

Bayview just quoted me $529.97 without the LD mic deal.

A place in Connecticut quoted me $510 plus $10 shipping and said M Audio just raised their price recently.

You are lucky!

Doctor Audio

Doctoraudio.com has them for 529.00 as well. The bayviewproaudio.com deal for 490.00 is gone.

Bayview $519. Got it yesterday.

Add me to the "Successful installation with co-existing SoundBlaster card" list.

I had just a little time to run the GT-6 in the digital input and laid down a track or two. Sounds fantastic!

Now if I could make up my mind on how to run the main outs of the mackie to the delta.
Mackie users... Tell me your preferred hook up???
Mains outs, Aux, Tape Outs, or Insert channels?

Bighand[:D]

first 8 channels all have direct outs. so thats the way to go!
