hey how do i get the fastest possible input monitoring (the way i have it set now, theres a huge delay). i'm using cakewalk sonar 2.0 xl. when i set the sampling rate to 96khz, and then i try to recording, it sounds like i'm fast fowarding everything. what should i have it all set on?

also, do i need to fix stuff in the delta control pannel?

Yea. Under the "Hardware Settings" tab . . . change your DMA Buffer Size to a smaller value.

thanks so much man...

i now have it on 128...is that a bad thing? ( works tho ) meaning, is it bad as in my computers like really slow, and it wont be as good in any way?

It could possibly present problems if you don't have enough RAM, if your processing speed is too slow, or if you have too many other applications running.

What might happen is you'd get pops / clicks every now and then.

Only way to know is to try it.

If you only wanting to monitor what is coming into the card and not through the software (Sonar) do you realize the Delta has a latency free on board mixer that will allow you to monitor input at the card as well as the output of the computer with 0 latency?

Of course that is irrelavent if you are wanting software monitoring.
