Delta 1010 and N-Track

Just purchased a 1010 and am using it with N-Track.

When I record 1 track, say TRACK1...

It ends up recording on all 8 tracks, not just track1. All tracks, except TRACK1 are silent. I have to delete the other tracks and then start on track2. It does this on every track you record.

Any ideas?

You have to disarm the inputs you're not using...take a look at the buttons in the recording VU meter.

BTW, those damn channels rearm themselves on occasion when you start up, which is really irritating.

I will assume you are using ASIO since it is arming all of the inputs. If you click on one of the settings buttons below the playback VU meters it will open a window. Click on "select I/O "

Untick all but channel 1, if you are using input 1 or 2 on the Delta. It should show 5 or 6 channels. These are stereo pairs so 1 really means input 1&2, 2 is Input 3&4, 3 is input 5&6, 4 is input 7&8 and 5 is S/PDIF stereo in. If you open the M-audio panel you will be able to see shich inputs you are gettting sound through and select that pair.

If you are only using one of the two for the pair you will need to click on the record button below the Recording VU meters and tell the left or right side to not record.

Ah yes,

I use the Settings button there because it is easier to see. It takes you to the same window as the one in the recording VU.

Actually I guess it depends on how you have the desktop set up. On mine the recording VU is on the left and verticle, making the buttons very small, where as the playback VU's are at the bottom and therefore the settings button is easily visible.

I guess what I said is not exactly accurate. It doesn't take you to the exact same window but you can get to the ASIO I/O's from both of them. In ASIO, at least with the Delta 1010, when you open the I/O selection window you see both input and output selections.
