well i have played around with the eusi808 and as promised it does what its says it will do.
i could feel that as i put the jacks in that it was hardwired to the board rather than the case...so its a budget job...no suprises there.
but at this moment in time i could have shelled out a whole lot more for some quality kit but in the back of my mind i didnt want to because at this price point i can afford to upgrade more often and not feel the pain.
i say this having bought a lot of exspensive redundant gear in the past that is now gathering dust because technology has moved on so fast and whats on offer now is so much better and cheaper.
i can now finally record my ob dmx to all 9 tracks at once ..and then leave all my modules just plugged in and ready for when i want to do something.
to my ears the difference between digital interfaces these days is not great and as a songwriter rather than song recorder its no biggie anyway.
one issue that played on my mind was wether to go for the mixing desk option with fw/usb out....i felt that i always ended up eq ing it it in the box...and i dindt really have the real estate to lend to a desk anyway.
also a lot of the options offerd onbord effects which put the price up ..but i wanted to keep it all real simple.
it was all about the workflow.....i needed to see a clear path to how i would really use it..no distractions or complications.
just my thoughts on what is at the moment a really confusing market.
