Force of Naked
Hi,

Is there playable, inexpensive 5-string bass out there that sounds really good? I just need something for the studio, so it doesn't have to be the best that's out there, but it *does* have to sound good.

I've seen brands like Jay Turser, Johnson, Galveston, etc. on ebay for under or around $200.00 (US). Are any of these brands even worth it? Anyone have experience with less expensive basses? Any brands to stay away from?

I have a 4 string Yamaha right now that was $150.00 used, it's okay, but I need 5 strings and a better tone.

Any real deals out there?!!

Thanks!

Yo' Mr Sun-Yung-Moon-ey, Check out the SR305DX by Ibanez.
If you have the opportunity to, give this axe an audience.
Thinner, slim-line neck, and lite-wieght! With matched EQ's for either passive or active p/u's. Smooth action neck for effortless fret work w/o the unwanted "fret buzz" commonly found on basses in this price range.
Street priced @ $320 with used models ranging around $200.
Good Luck!

MISTERQCUE,
