Perhaps that 'Wilco' sound you are hearing has something to do with their violinist. I look forward to hearing that electric version.
 
Excellent tune - loved your voice and delivery. C01 did a decent job of miking your guitar.

I liked the harmonica concept, but the performance wasn't always doing it for me - the melody line was too dry, not in the reverb sense, but in the sense there was little to tell us this was a real harmonica and not a sample. bending a few notes, or blowing few chords (with your melody still on top) would make it sound a lot more organic. When it IS chording, the part is good, just needs to be back farther in the mix.

Nice piece of writing. As far as synths, I've never heard Wilco use the same sound twice - and they often bypass synths for more esoteric choices, like reed organs (which would be VERY cool on this song, BTW).

altough it actually is me playin harp, point taken, i dont think harp will be on the electric version,


I wish could describe the synth sound more because id really like to use it, I am still in the process of finding a song with it in. I don't think it is the violin sound from wilco, but you've got me thinking about putting a violin part in now...we'll see.

I got a quick question for anyone that reads this post again, in what genre would you place this song??

Definitely has potential, I'll agree with sloop though and say the vocal needs more *something*. Maybe more emotion, maybe just verb, maybe both. Good stuff, love the harm.
