What is it?

Why does it happen?

How do you deal with it?

What will it do to your recording?

Here is a screen print of some DC offset in my mix...

should I be worried or is this nothing? I can't hear anything wrong really...

thats not a bad card, but inexpensive cards like it are known for it....prosumer type cards like the Deltas and Aardvarks are alot better in that area.....most software editors have dc offset adjustments that fix it so if it sounds ok once fixed it shouldnt be a biggie....

Yeah I was just told that cool edit does have a DC offset fixy thing...We shall see.
I think my whack eqing fucked some shit up!

Someday I'll upgrade my soundcard. And my mics. And my mixer. And my guitar. And my amp...:rolleyes

Hell I've heard some pretty incedible recodings on SB Live on this board!

:

yeah, ive heard some great stuff on LESS than a SB.....it pretty much comes down to the quality of the song....speaking of, that song you posted in the Clinic rocks......

Hey thanks. If I could only just capture the live essence!!!
