Cheers Glen! I can't remember what we were saying then, but I think I might have been moaning about how the fake username thing had got out of control. First someone did a fake 'noisydude' and then I did the fake Sonusman and DJL ... then all of a sudden there's hundreds of hoax users swimming around making dumb comments.

Since hijacking this thread can only be seen as a good thing, the next time you start to get sick, go to the store and get a clove of garlic and a loaf of french bread. Butter up the french bread, mince the garlic and place it on the bread then bake it until it's crispy enough for ya. Wise words, and if you are struggling from a squeaky bass drum peddle but have no oil to stop the squeak, why not try applying a little washing up liquid to the area you will find this cures the problem a treat

The cheap soundcards have offset because they are designed to be used in a "tuned' PCI slot on the PC. If you get positive offset you move the card 1 slot down. Eacah slot down is good for 2V. You should now read 0v Offset if you started with 2v positive offset. If your offset is negative, move the card 1 slot up. Keep moving the card until you get 0 offset.
