I heart guitars!
Here's one for you guys...
I've got a VS1680, which I love, but my wife's now insisting that 16 tracks isn't enough. I was thinking that possibly the best bet is to buy another DAW (possibly the new 4428 or a Fostex VF160 or similar).
I'm currently using Logic on a Mac as my main clock source and sync'ing the 1608 to that, so I figure I could sync another DAW to the same Midi Clock signal if I use a thru box to ensure the timing signal gets to both DAWs at the same time. I could then pipe one of the DAWS into the other digitally.
Question is...will the lack of wordclock prevent accurate sync? I'm a bit of a novice at thid digi stuff - give me a big reel of tape any day!
Anybody running two DAWS? Any ideas?
Help meee.....
