Right, ive just purchased a focusrite liquid saffire 56. I am trying to get a good set up to be able to record full bands. The next thing i need to look at is my daw. I am Currently using reaper but im not liking it atm.
The two options i currently have are:
Save up for an avid eleven rack that comes with a pro tools 11 and use that through my saffire 56 to get my guitar sound as im going to be di most of the time.
Or;
Get logic pro x and just use the built in amp sims to get my guitar and bass tones.
My current set up is just a decent spec mac and a focusrite saffire liquid 56. I am going to be doing mainly di guitars but then ill be re-amping any recordings that im trying to do to a higher level not just demos.Once i get my daw sorted im going to start looking at monitoring options.
Any one got any help? At the minute im leaning towards just saving for the eleven rack with pro tools but will take some months
