If you are using windows xp u can do like I did find you an old video card from an old pc and take it out install it and save some money it works just fine

the dual monitor feature extends your desktop to stretch across both monitors, giving you more room to work.

or it can run two screens seperately. i thought it'd be fun to have the screen stretch across 2 monitors but having 2 different monitors. running them seperately works alot better

i knew you could do that with a dual monitor cards, but not with just 2 video cards! is there a patch or special driver you have to download or is the capability built right into XP?

WIth 2 video cards you can choose either to stretch it or use it at 2 screens and yes this feature is built into XP.

You do not need a special video card for this.

You can just add a 2nd PCI video card.
