Cool song. I agree with RAMI that it could use a little more "meat" it might just be because I'm listening at low volume since it's late. The mix is super tight almost too much so I guess I just expect a little nastiness from a punk song.

Just nitpicking though I really like the song.

What did you do to the bass after tracking? Any eq? compression? Just looking for some tips since I'm pretty new to recording live bass and I like how the bass sounds on this track.

Thanks man. I assume you mean bass guitar? Um, I don't really do much to it. I compress it a little to tame some of the more wongo sounding notes, and scoop out some of the low mids to clean it up and make room for the kick.

There's no ambiguity in the lyric - it's a common enough story & you stick it to the mongrel every chorus - you don't glamourize, become sleazy or salacious.
There's no ambiguity in the music - it's unapologetically GREAT!
The backing vox are pure Radio Birdman too.

Okay, remixed it per some of yalls recommendations. Added a little more kick-meat and bass and tamed the cymbals a touch. Tiny little baby steps, but I'd rather sneak up on it than overshoot my load.

Lol. Yeah this is very loosely based on a true story that I witnessed at one of my gigs a few months ago. There was a hotty sitting at the bar, and there was this one douche that wouldn't get away from her. She was obviously not interested. He was trying his best, but was such a tool. Me and my guitarist were laughing at the guy and we both wondered if he was gonna drug her. He just looked like that kind of guy. He eventually disappeared and I think my guitarist got her phone number, but I'm not sure. I gotta ask him.

Just had a listen...or two ...no...I think it was three...I don't know...the room is starting to spin...damn....that looser motherfuka musta spiked my drink..awww...I guess it ain't as quik working as the Belladonna I put in his....

Lol. Okay. I'm not into crazy fills and over-drumming, so I don't do it. I'm not that good anyway. I come from the Marky Ramone/Phil Rudd school of minimalism where a punch in the ribs is countered by a knife to the throat.
