Even though it wasn't intentional, a bit of brain use would have rendered it avoidable...

I didn't hear anything about this, and I couldn't find a single article about it on the web.
Her agents must've done an incredible job of keeping this quiet.
But yeah, mostly my heart goes out to the poor parents.
I want to believe that she is a sensitive and caring person and is utterly devestated by this. I know this would mean a lot more pain for her, but personally i would be devastated if she was one of those callous celebrities who care nothing about the "little people"

I was just reading through that article... the kid was J walking....
You know how many times ive swerved and passed a bunch of stopped cars....
You see 3 lanes of stopped vehicles and then one open lane, the instinct is that there must be a minor traffic jam and there's a clear lane.. grab it...
I guess It could happen to anyone... But still it happened, and she must pay the price...
Fancy that?.. the parents suing her... where were THEY when there 9 year old was J walking across a busy street??????
Anyways.. she got a pretty hefty punishment... 750 hours of community service... Thats 19 full 40 hour work weeks...... Thats almost half a year!!!...
Then the suspension and the fine..... I think thats pretty fair, considering the kid really shouldn't have even been there....
I still hold 85% of the blame on her... but as I said.. where were the parents??..
