so I purchased some new (old) equipment dirt cheap but I can't get them to work (user error I'm sure).
I have a fostex D-90 and a Yamaha 01v w/ my8-at option. I can't get any meter readings on the d-90 no matter how I set it up. If anybody could help me with this that would be awesome!

I have a yamaha 01v (slave) and a Fostex D-90 (master) connected by ADAT lightpipes. They are, as far as I can tell, in sync and set to 16-bit. The problem now is that I can't get the D-90 to pick up any meter readings. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but you have to route the optional digital outputs on the 01v to channels 1-8 before the D-90 can pick them up? Then everything should be peachy? Well, I think I've gotten them routed but still nothing is being picked up by the D-90. Any help on this would be much appreciated. This is my first digital studio so I could use the help.
