Does anyone have any tips for eq and/or compression for making the attack of a ride cymbal stand out? The overheads were recorded with a spaced pair. Thanks!

Hi. That was a bad mic position option that not be easy to repar...
Compression may do the trick.
Try To send the overheads to a grup, em compress it with slow attack and quick release.
Check for phase on the oveheads.
If you frequencies arround 1kzs and cuting every thing bellow 200hz may also help to bring detaild to the sound an them brings space on the mix to the voice.
Try changing the compressor after ou before Eq.
Try compressing only one overhead mais also bring it to the front of the mix, and also giving a room felling.
Good luck
