Oldbie
I just got Amplitube and am having a bitch of a time trying to get Cubasis VST/32 to give me a playback through the plugin.
Actually, It appears it is not specifically related to Amplitude, but to all my VST plugins.
Anyway, it's the first time I've tried to use a plugin for real time processing, so I may be doing something fundamentally wrong, or misunderstanding the effects loop.
It is my understanding that I need to enable the send effects loop with the VST effect I want (in this case amplitube), turn the correct FX channel on for the track, and my audio should be routed through the FX (just like a mixer with real knobs :) ), and I should hear the effect I've selected.
This don't work, though - If I record the track, I _record_ with the effect I've selected, but I don't get any of that effect when I monitor.

This may also be related to the Soundblaster Platinum I am using - can I actually monitor through the Cubasis mixer via the SB card during recording, rather than just playback ?

I realize this is a pretty specific hardware/software config, so there may not be anyone that can assist, but if you've got any thoughts, I'll be most obliged. I'm a hurtin' puppy here...
All my manuals got thrown into long term storage during the move, and I havn't been able to find the correct PDF's on the web yet, but I'm looking....

Thanks,
mike

O.K. can anyone answer just this:

Is a VST FX insert _supposed_ to work in real time on an audio channel ?

Still not freakin' working, if it is...

Tks,
mike
