hi everyone, i never realy use cubase because i havnt had the time to set it up. but now i have theres a problem. ive got the m audio keyrig 49 midi keyboard plugged in to my laptop using usb. when i play a note on it the sound doesnt comeout the speakers untill half a second later.

ive looked all over the internet and people just are saying to press the timestamp box in the midi. ive done all of that, ive clicked timestap in the Directmusic and the microsoft one and its still not working!

help would be much appreciated!

Are you using ASIO drivers? If you're using on board sound that is the problem.

This can also be due to a long buffer size. If I'm not mistaken, buffer size refers to the amount of time that your computer takes to prepare the audio before it plays. In short, keep the buffer size small (in milliseconds) for tracking so you can play to the music with little delay and keep the buffer size long for mixing.

Try to make the buffer size lower and see if that solves your problem.
