hi all! first time poster here...
i have a question for the more learned users out there.
quickly, i am running Cubase studio 5, with a tascam us-1641... my question pertains to the outboard gear i am using with it.
on the tascam i have 4 balanced outs. i am using these to go back through my board, and comps/eqs/verbs/ect. everything works great this way.
my question is on the fact that i have to "print" my outboard work back into cubase on separate channels. while this was fine for awhile, i am getting a ton of work now a days, and the re-recording of the newly "mixed" tracks is getting to be a hassle. (18 tracks, on a 4 minute song, doing 4 at a time...) you can imagine the painstakingly long amounts of time i am wasting.
so finally the real question would be... is there a way to speed up the playback and recording? (turn a 3 minute song into a 30 second song, but keep all the sample rates the same)
i do know about using inserts and what not through the actually tascam hardware and cubase, but i am running a lot of outboard gear that does not hook up through midi controllers and all the new nifty connections, and this doesnt mean i want to use them any less.
thanks for you time in advance!
