I am just about to buy a Tascam u122 audio interface. It comes with cubase LE. I currently use 3.7. Which is better,? and can I install both of these programs onto the one p.c. Then if I upgrade to sx can I have all of these installed together until I get used to sx, or does multiple versions of cubase on one machine create problems.

I bought my US-122 about a year ago and, at that time, it came bundled with a very limited version of Cubasis VST (only 8 audio tracks, useless manual, poor interface, absolutely no online support). If it is coming with LE now, that would definitely be an upgrade. I use SE, but i think SE and LE are essentially the same. Anyway, make sure it is LE before you buy and that it is a full version, because the Cubasis VST that came with mine was unusable. It almost turned me off to Steinberg completely.

As for whether you can run multiple version of Cubase, I would say that will work. I still have Cubasis on my system and will keep it until I import all of my files into new SE projects.

Just got my LE

I did the 122 thing and got the free LE upgrade - Tascam took about 2 weeks to send. It seems pretty good, but I'm really just getting my groove on with the learning curve...
