CUBASE ESSENTIAL 5 Worked great for a year then NO SOUND! Help!

I have been operating Cubase Essential 5 for about a year now and have had no issues. About 3 weeks ago I go to use it and I am getting no sound. I have been through all settings both with software and my system (Mac OSX) and everything seems to be fine. The meters are moving and nothing is muted but...no sound! Any thoughts out there??

Stereo out muted or turned down? Buffer too low? Outdated interface/soundcard driver? Monitors unplugged?(lol).

Well, jimmys69 thanks for steering me to the problem. I knew the Stereo outs were not turned down or muted, my system is a Mac G5 thats only a year old so no outdated issues there, so I went to check on the buffer settings and found the problem. The buffer was set fine but I noticed that the line-in and line-out settings were conflicting; Built-in Line Input Built-In "Digital" Output. I just assigned Built-In "Line" Output and solved the problem! How it got switched is a mystery but THANKS for the help!
