Cubase and Tascam FW 1884

Ok,installed the latest edition of the software from Tascam (1.3) and connected my new 1884. Why is it not controlling Cubase? When I press play on the Tascam, the far right level display on the Cubase Transport Panel shows a level, but nothing else happens. Any ideas?
 
Are you running the 1884 in Mackie mode ? Is the computer mode button selected ?

If you post what steps you took to add the device in Cubase we might be able to help .
 
I don't understand why these threads go for a little while, then just evaporate. I imagine it's either because the originator gets tired of waiting for help that never comes (and just gives up), or eventually figures it out all by him/herself. Perhaps both. Regardless, it's of no use to those of us who face the same problems later on.
