i have cubase sx3, and really have no idea how to use it. I purchased it off of a friend and the only manual i have is the pdf file.

I also purchased Kontact's drumkit from hell 2 software. I was originally unaware that dfh had to be used with a sequencer such as cubase. I installed it first and it said did it want me to search for a vst folder (something like that) and i immediately knew I should have installed cubase first. well i finished the instalation and it stated that I would need to copy and paste it later into a folder. My question is, what files am i looking for to copy and past from drumkit from hell 2 in order to be able to place them in the VST folder that will allow me to use it with cubase? another question is, what folder do i paste it to?

my goal is to be able to program of timed signatures such as polyrythms, and then add the guitar tracks i play later. I know that the band Meshuggah used the drumkit from hell program with line 6 pod pro-xts to record the catch 33 album, I am looking to be able to do what they have done.

Why don't you just uninstall it and reinstall it..when it asks where this time..direct it to C>Program Files>Cubase>Vsts.

You should be able to find out which files that you need to copy and paste into the cubase vst folder from the Drumkit From Hell manual. I know there will be at least a dll file that you will need to put in the cubase vst folder.

thanks guys

i thought of uninstalling and re-installing, but there was a 4 step process with a ton of numbers for drumkit from hel 2 and i was really just wondering if it was pretty basic on the cut and paste.
