Greetings -
First time caller...
... hope you can help. Steinberg so far no help on the issue.
For years I ran Cubase LE4 on a PC - although I am a Machead everywhere else. I have worked in graphic arts and sound for 20 years. All worked well until I switched to a new iMac.
Now I am attempting to run Cubase 7 on my new iMac running )SX 10.9.2, and using my same Lexicon u42s I-Onix as an interface. I found drivers and installed them. Cubase recognizes that the Lexicon is attached - and offers it up as a device at startup. Problem is I get no sound. Whenever I choose the Lexicon as the ASIO Driver - within the VST Audio Setup window - all my tracks mute.
If the meters were still jumping around - and I got no sound to the device - I might suggest they are incompatible, or a setup problem. But when I switch the driver back to Internal Audio - the meters start jumping again and I can get sound.
I have tried everything I can think of - and Steinberg (via screen captures) tells me the driver is installed and selected correctly. But still - when the ASIO driver for Lexicon is selected - all tracks go dead during playback - no meters - no sound.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
