im findin that when i change a volume or setting or sliders in the middle of listening ....the software stores those changes if you don't keep track of write enable.....ive input some chorus on tracks in the middle. i want to locate and delete all additions....for lack of a better word to use......is that possible.....

ill make sure in the future to pay attn. to settings when listening to a take.....maybe even keep the main without any changes and duplicate to play with.....

what do you think?...

Are you talking about clearing the automation? If so that is very simple. Keep in mind you can disable Write or Read Automation at any time.

On your track pull down the automation lane and choose the parameter by clicking the parameter currently displayed on the track. There will be an asterisk by any parameters that you have recorded automation to. Choose the offending parameter and select all the points on the grid and delete. There are also commands for doing this once you access the drop down menu.

Troy, you need to spend some time with the manual. At least enough to be able to describe the issues you are having.

There are a ton of tutorials available by Googling basic editing and setup of Cubase. I spent a good full year learning this way.

I am not trying to be disrespectful, but you have to take the time to know the basics of your software. When you get into a bind, then by all means, ask for help.

There are a lot of sections in the manual that are unclear but I found the chapter on automation very straightforward and informative. Read that and you'll be teaching me stuff--haven't looked at it in like 2 years.

hmm....everyone insisting on me reading...ive read the manual 2 times..

not very clear to me...i thought this was a forum for help.....not to be badgered in reading ......but ill keep asking the questions that i need....

just for the record....sometimes whats crystal clear for the experienced guy is a learning experience for the nonveteran.....

thanx for the help though......
