I LOST THE GAME
ALL of my equipment is brand new. i am using m-audio fast track ultra, axium 61, pair of krk rokit 5's, and pro tools. right when i turn everything on and get on protools its all fine. after about five minutes i get a pop here and there. after about 10 minutes i can barely hear the actual instruent. any ideas on something i can try? Thanks

Make sure you have all other programs shut down - all the stuff that runs in the background when you start up your computer.

increase my buffers? how? thanks! and any other ideas would be helpful.

the m-audio ultra interface is USB right?

Recently, I had similar problem with my NI Audio Kontrol 1 interface. turned out that when I unplugged my set up for cleaning, the Audio Kontrol didn't like the USB port i plugged it back into.

shut the system down and try plugging into a different USB post.

most USB interfaces don't like having power management enabled. If you are using wiondows, you should disable power management for all USB items in the device manager section of the control panel.

i found the problem. there was interferance from my midi controller. so instead of plugging it in through usb im just gonna get a couple midi cables
thankjs!

Oh, good. I was gonna suggest that maybe you forgot to take the cellophane wrapper off something...
